Yeah, it was only down a half a pound. I could make excuses about retaining water or whatever, but honestly? I ate more than usual in the past two weeks. I also didn't miss one run and have amped my miles up quite a bit. With the exception of a Thanksgiving free-for-all and a couple extra glasses of wine that I probably didn't need, I really ate mostly healthy stuff, and ate only when I was hungry. To me, even though I am hungry a lot more than I used to be, that's a win. Because, I FEEL really good and thinner and healthier and "runner-er" and all of that. That is technically what I'm after. Once the scale gets below the 200 mark, I am kind of over it. I still want to use it as a tool and a guide, but as long as I can get under two bills, I am not going to stress.
After I weighed in this morning, then got ready for work, I took another picture. this one:
Tomorrow, my theories on black turtlenecks and other clothing items favored by larger ladies the world over.
I think you look fantastic and i love that outfit. So there, scale! Take that!
ReplyDeleteI agree you look great! The scale is a funny thing you never really know what it's going to do. It won't move forever and then all the sudden it seems to fall seeminly without you doing anything. At least that's the way mine works.
ReplyDeleteYou look marve-lous!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the weigh-in! Losing half a pound over Thanksgiving is still great! Most of America gains over this time of year, so remember that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you look AMAZING in your picture. :)
You guys are so nice to me! Thanks so much! And thanks, Alisa. That totally puts it into perspective. Most other years of my life, I have gained a few pounds over Thanksgiving. I am feeling so good lately; it's nice to hear those compliments to validate it a little. Now I am just going to post that photo every time I need you guys to give me a pick-me-up. :)
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about getting out the measuring tape? I've been really active all summer/fall, haven't been watching my food as closely as I could be, and find myself 4 lbs heavier but 5 inches smaller than I was in April. If you feel skinnier than the scale says - you probably are!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer. I have thought about it. I guess I just never got around to it. I try to judge more on my clthes than anything, but really just want that dumb scale to get below 200 right now. I'm a little obsessed with it, but feel like I can let go after tha. :)
