So, now that the celebration is over, there is no doubt in my mind why my weigh-in was less than stellar this morning. Here it is:
Down 2.9 pounds since last time. Whatever. I'll take it. But honestly, I am kind of ticked because, while I only *weigh-in* every two weeks now, you can usually find me checking out the scale every morning. In the past two weeks, it has been as low as 209, but of course a weekend like this past one would be enough to tack 4 pounds on to anyone. What I need to do is to stop toying with myself. From now on, the scale comes out once every two weeks, and that is it.
Ben at BenDoesLife.com was just talking about that last week. How it shouldn't be about the numbers, but instead about health and feeling good. And it is, and I do. Pretty much. But man, it sure would be nice if I could keep it together long enough for the numbers to mean something.
Anyway, down almost three pounds. So that is good, and I'll take it. And away goes the scale. No more obsessing on it every morning. And in the afternoon sometimes. And before and after peeing, just to check bladder capacity. The next time I see that bathroom appliance will be on December first. And dammit! No more missed workouts! No more slacking! And for godzsake, Poppycock? What was I thinking?
