A Clever Disguise

I used to have really pretty feet; they tend to stay pretty when you stay off of them as much as possible. In a vain attempt to make my feet look decent in strappy sandals in Vegas this weekend, I painted my toenails.  Uh, and my toe.  My right big toe has no real nail on it right now, it kind of has a weird lump of nail at the bottom. It's really gross.   As long as I keep logging my current mileage, it will probably never  grow back.  I am laughing at how horrible it looks up close, but with shoes on, close to the Vegas carpet and tucked under a craps or Blackjack table, I should be ok.  So disgusting!  But, it is my trophy, nonetheless.  Hopefully the paint holds up through Saturday's race.

Stay tuned for pictures of our costumes on Monday, as well as a race review; I will try to make an update over the weekend, even though what happens there is supposed to...well, you get it.  Should be a blast.  Happy Halloween, everyone!  Keep those damn mini Snickers away from me!

Had a bit of a calorie fest with my best friend last night.  Wine and dinner out.  I went really light all day because I was planning on dinner out, but still, probably went over by a couple hundred. Today went well.  Hit my target.  Ready to let loose a little in Vegas, but running 13.1 Saturday and going to bed early and not drinking tomorrow night will be a good temper for the rest of the debauchery. Monday is the weigh-in!

  2. Thanks, ladies!! Also, as my husband just pointed out, it is my left big toe. I apparently don;t know the difference. :) You guys have a great weekend, too!

  3. I lost both big toe nails after the 3-Day in 2008 and it took about a year for them grow back fully -- and I was definitely staying off of them as much as possible! :)

And mini-Snickers are totally my Achilles heal, food-wise. Unfortunately, the receptionist at my work always has a supply!
